This spa is not worth 1 star!
After being told my party of 7 could turn up Sunday and use their pay as you gym spa pass and then have afternoon tea without needing payment. So we were all set rang today to book a treatment to now be told we are unable to go as they didn’t book it in. I managed to get a call back from the so called manager who more or less told me we were not told that and he could not accommodate us so bang goes my birthday treat as now too late to book anywhere else.

Really nice stay
The staff could not have been more helpful and even when we were asking for things out of the norm all we ever heard was ‘of course you can’ food was as expected, although the chef might need a slight review on streak cooking but on the whole out party enjoyed the food. The breakfast service was equally as efficient and ingredients tasty and importantly nice and hot. Would definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

Excellent 1 Night Stay
The room was neat and tidy, well decorated, had a very comfortable bed with a tasteful modern bathroom, which had a very good raindrop and handheld shower with nice fluffy towels. In the room there was complimentary water, tea and coffee. The coffee being excellent coffee bags but no complimentary biscuits which would have been a nice touch. We booked directly on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was excellent I have to say with plenty of choice.

This is a Fawlty Towers hotel without the wit
This hotel entirely rests on its laurels due to the location. My room was incredibly noisy, small and massively overpriced. This is a Fawlty Towers hotel and don't bother to complain because neither the staff nor Basil can handle it. Its all the customers fault.

Disappointing once again
Alarm bells should have rung large sign outside advertising for chefs, service could not fault, starters pork pie and a garlic bread hot ok. Main courses not so good chips more like roast potatoes, cheese and onion pie Luke warm in middle very uninviting. ploughmans appeared to have been around a while ham dried up. Ham and eggs nothing special very salty.

Aztetec hotel's spa is disgusting, it's cold
Both the pool and the saunas are cold and full of children going in and out of the saunas and leaving the door open, the jacuzzi is closed but they were letting the children in and out of it, as well as splashing water in the pool and yelling, and understand me, it's a spa, not a public pool.

Conned on afternoon tea.
Booked the afternoon tea for myself and friend for their birthday. On the website it says the price is £30. We enjoyed the food and service itself, but when it came to pay, our bill was £60. I questioned why it was double and the waitress said it was pp for the AT. On the website and menu there is nowhere it states its per person. No * used or small print, and was not explained when booked/on arrival and being seated.

Shocking behaviour
The table became available just as my husband was ordering drinks so we all started to make our way through, only to be confronted with the rudest person I have ever encountered. She stood behind the bar and yelled they are not having that table. Absolutely horrified I was carrying my 9 month old grandson, so felt the only thing to do was to leave I have no words to describe the absolute horror this woman was. I would never set foot in that "pub" again.

A wonderful experience
My husband and I have just had a wonderful meal at this gastro pub. We chose the roast beef & Yorkshire pudding with vegetables. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream whilst my husband had rum & rain ice cream with a rum to pour over the top. Everything was freshly made (no frozen stuff) It was the best meal we have ever had in ages. We highly recommend paying the pub a visit but book a table first. Very friendly welcoming staff.
